Richard Muller  

Richard Muller has over 25 years of experience in the Mortgage Banking Industry. He is currently the Regional Vice President of Production for the State of Maryland for First County Mortgage. Prior to joining First County he was the President/Owner of Northstar Mortgage in Howard County, MD. While at Northstar Mortgage Mr. Muller was responsible for over 1 Billion of residential mortgage production. In 2001 Mr. Muller and Northstar Mortgage were featured in a Wall St. Journal article titled,  Why Big Lenders Are So Afraid Of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The article focused on the new automated underwriting technologies at the time and the perceived effect on lenders. Northstar was featured because it was operating at the forefront of those technologies.

In 1992 Mr. Muller was a founding member of the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers where he served as the treasurer of that organization. Over the years Mr. Muller had served the Association in many capacities as a Board Member. Prior to opening Northstar Mortgage Mr. Muller was the Chief Operating Officer at another regional mortgage lender. His responsibilities included overseeing the production of the 17 Branch organization.

Jim Pruess

Jim Preuss has a MBA in Finance, a Masters in Bank Management and brings over 30 years of finance experience to First County Mortgage. He exudes an understanding of a wide variety of programs and their benefits.  It is his focus to understand your goals and present the various solutions and opportunities to reach these goals at the lowest overall cost and the greatest satisfaction possible.
